Alliance for Local Sustainable Agriculture (ALSA)

Main Info

The Alliance for Local, Sustainable Agriculture (ALSA) was formed to preserve and expand community based sustainable agriculture. The health and economy of all are threatened when a diversified agricultural community does not thrive. ALSA strives to form a broad alliance of support through education, conflict resolution and advocacy.

The Alliance was created by local conservationists, farmers and business people to address challenges that threaten our local agriculture. These are issues which other local organizations such as Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT), U.C. Agricultural Extension, Marin Organic, the Marin Resource Conservation District and others cannot address because of their unique and specific mandates.
