Amador County Recreation Agency (ACRA)

Main Info
Summary:

Founded in 2003, the Amador County Recreation Agency (ACRA) is a joint powers authority designed to meet the recreation needs of all Amador County residents and visitors. We create, maintain and develop recreation facilities and programs throughout the county. ACRA provides recreation programming for youth, adults, and families. We also host special events, such as the 49er Bypass Challenge and Sutter Creek Duck Race. ACRA also sets up fun zones at other events throughout the county, including the Amador County Fair and Black Bart Days. ACRA maintains several parks throughout the county, including Lyons Park, Pioneer Park, and Fiddletown Park. The agency is also responsible for developing local parks and recreation facilities. Current renovation projects include River Pines Park and the Volcano Armory Hall, just to name a few. ACRA is also in the beginning stages of creating a regional trails plan.
