The Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP) is dedicated to the adoption, implementation and advancement of building energy codes. BCAP is a nonprofit advocacy organization established in 1994 as a joint initiative of the Alliance to Save Energy, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. BCAP works with a number of stakeholders—including the U.S. Department of Energy, local, state and national agencies, building professionals, regional energy efficiency groups and utilities, among others—to support energy code adoption and implementation across the country and around the world.
